Quality Engineer, Automotive Tier 1, Permanent Position:

An outstanding career opportunity exists with a World-Class Tier 1 Automotive Supplier with their expanding operations near Mason, Ohio, a desirable locale just North of Cincinnati, Ohio and Top 100 Winner of Money Magazine Best Places To Live 2007. The position is titled Automotive Quality Engineer, and the individual will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of automotive components and systems, in a Toyota Production System (TPS) environment. Responsible for providing quality planning and engineering, quality training, and customer quality interface. Further responsible for continually maintaining a knowledge of all critical customer expectations.

Responsibilities:
-Lead/support quality activities, including control plan development, implementation and verification.
-Customer quality contact (proactive and problem resolution).
-Conduct quality-related training of divisional personnel
-Customer production part approval coordination and submittal,
gage, testing and inspection tooling/fixture design and improvement.
-Prepare final inspection plans.
-Follow all documented procedures.
-Conduct/lead designed experiments, capability study analysis and measurement system analysis.
-Provide direction to process quality technicians as needed.
-Provide data analysis relating to problem resolution and continuous improvement activities.
-Participate in cross-functional design reviews.
-Corrective action team participation/leadership.
-Prepare process quality audits and conduct training.

Educational / Experience:
-A BS in a technical discipline preferred (ME, EE, IE).
-Three to five years or more of manufacturing quality experience.
-Experience working in a QS-9000 environment (TS-16949 helpful).
